Benitoartis opens its first exhibition
Since its creation, Benitoartis promotes the presence of sculpture in the public spaces and acts to support artists. Now it is carrying out a new initiative to support with no profit-making the creative initiatives of Catalan artists. A space for exhibitions is built with this intention and it is expected to be a reference on a cultural level.
To do so, it counts with the support of Fundicio Ductil Benito. On November 27th, Benioartis' first temporary exhibition will be opened at the Ter building, next to the company's headquarters. It is entitled 'Around reality' and figurative sculptures and paintings between realism and fiction will be shown.
The works have been loaned by private collections and art organizations. The exhibit has the support of the Fundacio Fran Daurel and will be opened until January 24th.
The seven artists chosen for this first exhibition, work in Catalonia. The sculptures have been made by Gerard Mas, Efraïm Rodríguez, Lluís Roig and Samuel Salcedo. The paintings have three protagonists: nicole Gagnum, Jordi Orbañanos and Ramon Surinyac.
The meaning of the selection of the works is in line with the project 'Art for the public space' which Benitoartis has been promoting since the beginning. The objectives of this initiative are supporting the current art and dignify public sculptue. The painting, which can be installed in public spaces in the form of murals or big formats, has been also included.
