'Around reality' can be visited already at the BENITOartis exhibition room
About 120 people attended the opening of the exhibition 'Around reality', the first exhibition at the new exhibition room that BENITOartis has at the Edifici Ter in Manlleu, the headquarters of Fundició Dúctil Benito.
Among them was Gemma Boix, Director of central Catalonia territorial services at the Department of Culture at the Generalitat; Eduard Duran, director of the Fran Daurel Foundation which collaborates with BENITOartis and the Mayor of Manlleu, Pere Prat amongst others.
In the speeches, made by the director of BENITOartis Mireia Vallduriola and the projects responsible Gemma Farran, apart from the above mentioned people, the importance of this space for the projection of art was emphasized and the relationship between culture and the private business was praised.
The objective of this space is to disseminate and promote the artistic proposals created in Catalonia and support various cultural demonstrations, as well as being a new equipment for central Catalonia.
The sculptures have been made by Gerard Mas, Efraïm Rodríguez, Lluís Roig and Samuel Salcedo, and the paintings have been carried out by Nicole Gagnum, JOrdi Orbañanos and Ramon Surinyac. In total, there are 44 pieces.
The exhibition can be visited until January 24th. It is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am until 2pm and also during the week but by calling beforehand at +34.93.852.10.00.
Many of the pieces at the exhibition have been kindly loaned by private collections and art foundations. At the same time, this exhibition counts on the support and collaboration of the Manlleu City Council.
