The book Manlleu: environment, heritage and life is organized in three different parts: the history of the city, by the historian Joaquim Albareda; the industrial heritage developed around the river Ter, by the MIT’s director, Carles García; and the viewpoint of the current society according to the opinion of the journalists Agustí Danès and Jaume Collell. It is important to highlight the 170 excellent images which illustrate the book, taken by the naturist-photographer Carles Martorell.
The authors emphasize the current activity of Benito and the investment Carandell’s family has carried out to rehabilitate the former textile factory Can Rifà Bonaplata Awards 2006 where the company’s show room is nowadays located.
