
The visit of the Secretary was aimed to know in situ the managerial structure of the city of Manlleu (Barcelona). Invited by the City Town of Manlleu together with Economic Co-operation and Development Office, Antoni Soy had been visiting two relevant companies of the region, one of them being Benito.
During his visit in Manlleu, Soy had talked with the General Manager and Operations Director about the evolution, the actual situation and the future of the investments of Benito in France and China. Afterwards, they have visited several departments of the company and the Ter Building. Nowadays Ter Building, an old textile manufacture, was rebuild and reconverted, hosting the new show room. Once inside, the Secretary was able to appreciate the diversity of offered street furniture range of products (urban furniture, public lighting, waste containers, etc…) as well as Benito innovative capacity in standing-up exclusive elements of author design.
He described this visit as interesting because Benito serve today as perfect example of a company adapted to the global market while it maintains the managerial structure in Spain.
During his visit, the Secretary was accompanied by Pere Prat, Major of the City of Manlleu; Josep Colomer, Council of Urbanism; Dolors Arumi, Council of Environment; Hermínia Ordeig, OPE director; CIDEM representative, Montse Fontamau and managers representing companies from Manlleu.
