The 43rd edition of the RACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada Rally, the Spanish World Rally Championship event, will be held on 5-7 October.
The driver from Manlleu (Barcelona, Spain), Xevi Pons, will have the home-field advantage in his Subaru Impreza WRC2007. Xevi notes that: “It’s very exciting for both myself and Xavier as it is our first rally in Spain with the Subaru World Rally Team, and I hope to put in a great showing in front of the home fans. I am sure their enthusiasm and excitement will help me to a strong result. I know the fans are looking forward to the rally, and I want to do well at home as a way of thanking them for their support.”
The town of Salou and the PortAventura theme park will once again host the operations base of the RACC Rally. The region of Tarragona will be the nerve centre of the event and as a novelty, in Leg 2 there are two new special stages, Coll de Grau and La Serra d’Almos.
