Valencia, capital of the Venezuelan state of Carabobo, is about 150 kilometres from Caracas. This booming industrial city stands out from other Venezuelan towns thanks to modernized services and well-maintained public parks and streets.
During an institutional visit to Benito’s corporate headquarters in Manlleu (Barcelona), the mayor of Valencia and other officials described the city’s upcoming urban development projects and asked Benito for advice on installing urban equipment.
One project that has gone ahead is Line 1 of the Underground. Valencia has implemented public transportation on a scale comparable to major cities such as New York, Paris, London and Barcelona to meet an underlying need of its dense population.
Valencia’s Underground stations have been outfitted with Benito site furnishing. The bench that was selected is the Trau model from the fdb line, whose simple design (without armrests or backrests) gives the platforms a spare, functional look.
In addition, the train line now uses Circular litter bins both indoors (grey finish) and outdoors (stainless finish).
