
Mario Molins, aged, 25, won the 4th Fundició Dúctil Benito sculpture competition, held every two years with the aim of fostering creativity and recognitions for young artists. For the first time it has been opened up to students at all the art colleges in Catalonia. Molins won the first prize with his piece entitled 'Brote' ('Green Shoot'), made form poplar wood and bronze. The artist is from Binéfar (Huesca) but lives and studies in Barcelona.
