History

BENITO URBAN is the heir of a century old industry of forged and cast-iron machinery from the textile sector in Manlleu. In 1992, it started its activity in the sewage, precast concrete and urban equipment sectors.

In a second phase, in 2001, it went into the children's playground equipment sector and a year later into street lighting. More recently, it has gone into the collection and management of urban waste and has introduced the concept of healthy games and those directly related to sport: multisports courts and rockodromes.

It has also developed the Activepoint project, which consists of urban equipment provided with the latest technology and which is an interactive point of information for the general public.

Finally, in 2008, it developed its latest project to date called Benioartis, consisting of a resources centre which promotes the relationship between artists, the administrations and private companies to develop and create public sculpture projects.
