On November 6th, at Cosentino City Boston, BENITO URBAN participated alongside Apex Lighting + Building Solutions, Juan Mullerat, and the Plusurbia Studio team in a session dedicated to analyzing the future of urban design and the role of shared public spaces. The event, held under the title “Barcelona to Boston: The Future of Urban Living”, brought together professionals in design, landscape architecture, and urban planning to reflect on how to build more human, inclusive, and resilient cities.
The event featured contributions from Clàudia Mayer and Sergi Miró of BENITO, Juan Mullerat of Plusurbia Studio, and Clint MacKeen of Apex Lighting + Building Solutions, who shared their perspectives on the challenges and opportunities faced by contemporary cities. The speakers emphasized the importance of collaborative planning, active community participation, and innovation as key tools to balance urban development with the preservation of spaces that strengthen community life.
The discussion highlighted the need to design environments that function as genuine “outdoor living rooms”, places where people feel comfortable, safe, and welcome.
