RCR Arquitectes is an architecture firm founded in 1988 by Rafael Aranda, Carme Pigem and Ramon Vilalta, internationally recognised for an architecture deeply connected to landscape, materiality and the sensory experience of space. Their work is characterised by a contemporary and essential approach, where architecture, nature and light interact in an intense and balanced way, creating unique projects closely linked to their surroundings.
The studio develops projects of different scales and typologies, working together with multidisciplinary teams and specialised collaborators according to the needs of each intervention. Their approach continuously explores structural, constructive and material aspects, seeking an architecture capable of generating emotion, identity and continuity between interior and exterior spaces.
Winners of the 2017 Pritzker Prize, the work of RCR Arquitectes has been widely published, exhibited and internationally recognised, establishing the studio as one of the most influential references in contemporary architecture.
