In the small town of Castellolí, triangular shade sails have been installed in front of the town hall to provide shade and create cool areas during summer heatwaves.
With the aim of enhancing shaded areas and improving citizen well-being during the summer, the municipality of Castellolí, in the province of Barcelona, has installed triangular shade sails in front of the town hall building. This initiative responds to the growing need to create cool and protected areas during heatwaves, a phenomenon increasingly common in the Mediterranean region. Our climate shelters offer an effective and versatile solution for public spaces such as streets, parks, and squares, as well as for educational centres, institutions, private areas, or urban rest zones.
In this project, the sails have been strategically arranged to optimise the shaded surface. The installation required three posts, while the remaining fixing points were anchored directly to the town hall façade.
The result is a comfortable, integrated space designed to improve the daily experience of residents.
