Renovation of Parc del Torrent de l’Illa in El Bruc (Barcelona) with robinia playground elements integrated into the natural environment, creating a recreational and relaxation space surrounded by nature.
Need / Issue: The space required renovation to improve the play experience while maintaining integration with the natural landscape.
Solution: Installation of new play and rest elements made from robinia wood.
Result: A more natural, attractive park adapted to family use is created.
In El Bruc, a municipality of approximately 2,000 inhabitants located in a privileged natural setting at the foot of Montserrat, in the province of Barcelona, the Parc del Torrent de l’Illa playground has been renovated.
The intervention focuses on elements made from robinia wood, a material especially suitable for outdoor use due to its durability and its ability to integrate visually into natural environments.
The park includes a relaxation hammock, a round swing with five seats, a balance circuit and a climbing structure, offering different play experiences adapted to various age groups.
The project reinforces the natural character of the space and transforms the park into a family meeting point where play, relaxation and nature coexist in balance.
