Quick guide to tools and practical tips for every repair


Wheel Truing

Steps to follow:
01. Place the wheel axle in the fork.
02. Make sure the wheel is properly aligned.
03. If it rubs against the brake pads, center it.
04. Adjust using the threads, close the clamp and check that it rotates freely.

Adjusting The Brake Levers

Steps to follow:
01. Loosen the screw that holds the handlebar lever
02. Place the lever at the desired angle and position.
03. Tighten the screw with the corresponding wrench.
04. Check that the lever is firm and comfortable.

Gear Shift Adjustment

Steps to follow:
01. If the chain jumps between sprockets, there is a problem with the rear derailleur.
02. Use the "H" (High) and "L" (Low) stop screws to limit the derailleur travel.
03. Check that the chain moves up and down smoothly between sprockets when the chain is operated.

Saddle Adjustment

Steps to follow:
01. Loosen the seat clamp.
02. Adjust to the appropriate height.
03. Lock the clamp firmly.
04. Check that it does not move when pressure is applied.

Wrench

It is useful for adjusting nuts of different sizes on the bicycle

Recommendations:
Adjust the mouth properly to avoid damaging the nuts.
Do not use excessive force.
Hold it from the end for greater control.
Don't use it as a hammer.

Fixed Wrench

It is ideal for nuts of a specific size, offering greater safety and precision.

Recommendations:
Use the correct size wrench to avoid damaging the nuts.
Apply force with control, without forcing it.
Do not use it as a lever or a hammer.


Torx

They are used for star-shaped head screws, common on modern bicycles.

Recommendations:
Use the correct Torx size to avoid damaging the screw.
Insert the key fully for a tight fit.
Do not force it if the screw is tight

Removable

They are used to easily remove the tire cover without damaging the rim or tire.

Recommendations:
Use at least two detachable tools to make the job easier.
Insert carefully between the rim and the tire, without forcing it.
Do not use metal tools: they could damage the rim.
It starts near the valve and progresses gradually.
Avoid pinching the camera when reassembling.

Pressure Stain

It is essential to maintain the correct pressure in the tires.

Recommendations:
Inflate to the recommended pressure (indicated on the side of the tire).
Use a pump with a pressure gauge to accurately control the pressure.
Do not exceed the maximum pressure indicated.
Check your tire pressure regularly, especially before long rides.

Screwdriver (flat and Philly)

They are used for screws with different heads present in various components of the bicycle.

Recommendations:
Use the correct type and size to avoid damaging the screw head.
Ensure good contact before turning.
Do not use if the screw head is worn.

Puncture Repair

Steps to follow:
01. Remove the wheel and remove the tire.
02. Remove the punctured inner tube.
03. Check that there are no sharp objects inside the tire.
04. Install a new camera.
05. Inflate the tire to the recommended pressure.
06. Place the wheel in its position and secure it properly.
