Replacement and improvement of the metallic balls of the central park of Poblenou designed by the architect Jean Nouvel.
The Central Park of Poblenou was created in 2008 by the French architect Jean Nouvel, author of the Agbar Tower located in the Glòries square, very close to the park. It is a spectacular space where each vegetal or street furniture element has a double function: practical and decorative. Besides highlighting the design and vegetation, the lighting is a source of admiration itself thanks to its unusual shapes.
The main goal for the renovation, replacement and improvement of the lighting of the metallic balls was to achieve both energy and economic savings, and to reduce pollution while guaranteeing a good visual comfort.
The product chosen for this project was BENITO’s new retrofit with high efficiency dissipator made of anodised extruded aluminium.
